This
year's PMA was fantastic for us at Franwell Software, and we're sure
it was productive for all of our associates and other PMA members,
as well. Thank you to all who visited our Agware Booth 3119 and helped
make this year's PMA such a successful event!
We
took a few photos of our booth that we wanted to make available
on this page. Just click the thumbnails to see a larger view, then
click the Back button to return to this page. The first photo
shows some of our Franwell team members. The next shows
Jeff
Wells demonstrating the speed and accuracy of RFID identification by
pulling a pallet of mixed containers with RFID labels through the
RFID reader portal. Instantly all 62 products were individually identified
and displayed on the computer screen. Our chief salesmen, "Steve of
the West Coast and Steve of the East Coast," are featured in the third
photo. In the fourth photo, one of our Agware clients, Debbie Grimes,
owner of Grimes Produce Company in Plant City, is watching an RFID
demo.
Radio Frequency
Identification Demos
This
aspect of Franwell's demonstrations certainly drew a great deal of
interest and many questions. RFID is not
entirely new technology, but the use of RFID to revolutionize the
supply chain side of the
fresh food industry is new to the marketplace. Jeff Wells, Franwell's
President and Chief Technology Officer, has been working with RFID
since 1993. Now is the time when all the strategic groundwork is
coming together, as Franwell forms partnerships with other companies
to
complete
the model that will work best for our clients.
Agware Demos
Following
the PMA, we always contact those who have expressed an interest
in Agware so we can arrange for online demos that can include all the
personnel concerned with making decisions about software. Many
companies
begin with the IT or IS directors, but the sales staff and warehouse
managers are also key players who need to look at what Agware can
do to make their work flow more quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
Call Steve Dean, our Vice President of Sales & Marketing, at
1-800-639-1615 and he will
be glad to
set
up a meeting for you.
Please
feel free to contact any of our clients who are using Agware to
operate their agribusinesses. On our Valued
Clients page we have a list of all customers who have their
own Web sites. Many Agware users do not have Web pages,
but they would be happy to answer your questions if you wish to
contact them.
Just call Franwell for a list of client contacts. Some potential customers
like to visit the sites of current Agware users and that can be
arranged, as well.
