Information
used throughout the Agware system is maintained in the System
Manager section. This information is shared throughout the system to
ensure efficient and accurate handling of overlapping functions by the
various individual components.
The
System Manager component includes the following sub-components:
Charges
(set up charges, fees or rebates, for recurring use)
Terms
(credit terms and limits for accounts receivable and payable)
Routes
for food service deliveries
Storage
Areas (our warehouse management system)
User
Security (access, security levels, and special authorization)
System
Settings (Your system wide company defaults)
The
security system of Agware was designed to facilitate easy set-up
without sacrificing the stringent security that modern companies demand.
Therefore, Agware security is designed around user actions. Our
user action security model is more closely related to job functions
than the security model of traditional systems.
The
person responsible for setting up user security will assign location
authorization and action security level to each user. Once the user
and default location are established, security levels are then assigned
and the user is ready for action. Depending on the security level given
to an action, some users can edit as well as view information and some
have the additional ability to delete particular information when necessary.
When access is denied, the restricted component is not listed on the
user's selection tree.
Additionally,
an idle-time lockout is a security feature of Agware which is
established on a per-user basis. This feature requires reentry of the
user password after a period of inactivity. The security of your company
is as tight as you choose to make it.
Agware
System Settings include system wide defaults for your company. This
includes default accounts for all transactions, costing method, document
numbering, beginning balances, and method of establishing lot codes,
among other features that determine the way you operate your agribusiness.
